The Tirebiters Welcome Austin’s BettySoo

The Tirebiters play original Americana, country rock, and blues music. Their original music is reminiscent of Creedence Clearwater Revival and The Allman Brothers.

The Tucson based band features Lex Browning; the singer-songwriter is originally from Kentucky and every so often you can hear the Appalachian “holler” come through in his songwriting. As in-demand accomplished player on guitar, fiddle, and mandolin, he has played in bands for Queen Ida, Pam Tillis, The Austin Lounge Lizards, The Nelson Twins, and Tanya Tucker. Browning was also a member of Poco, the famed country rock band, playing lead on guitar, fiddle, and also adding vocals as well. Poco fell in love with several of Lex’s original songs added a few to their set list.

The evening will also feature:
Steve Grams is one cool dude who hails from North Dakota. He is an internationally known bassist who’s played just about everywhere on the planet, most recently with Bad New Blues in Tucson. He truly is one of the great blues bassists and a fantastic singer/songwriter in his own right.
Danny Krieger is also a mesmerizing guitar player found The West Coast, but he’s also adept on many other styles of music—his intuitive musical interplay with Lex is mind bending and with take you back to the great bands of the 60’s and 70’s!
Les Merrihew grew up in the great Pacific Northwest. In Tucson and in the American NW he is known as one of the steadiest and inventive drummers around. Along with the Tirebiters, you can hear him in several other Tucson bands.

BettySoo is a Korean-American young woman and an Americana folk and rock singer-songwriter based in Austin.  She is adored by James McMurty and Chris Smither and tours with them whenever her schedule allows.
